Broken Fairy-tales (Sonnet VI)

Broken Fairytales (Sonnet VI)

I sit here reading broken fairytales,
I feel like everyone of them I live,
no happy ending, pain is all I dwell,
sadness is all that I have left to give.

If I had proved my love would she be here?
to hold me close, to tear my pain apart,
would my loneliness start to disappear?
as I write sonnets to my broken heart.

Time stands still as I gaze at her blushed face,
my happy ending starts to become true,
to see her walking with such flawless grace,
but my love for her she had never knew.

Broken Fairytales, its ending now known,
Spending the rest of life dying alone.

probably my last of this set of sonnets,
if you paid attention to my sequel, you will have noticed a line I use in this sequence of sonnets, look at line 8, if you read in the rest of my sonnets that sentenced is repeated, there may be a few words different but its pretty much the same line, it ties the whole set together, i probably will start a new set in the future.

You have done a wonderful job on this set of Sonnets. The imagery is excellent as is the story line.

no happy ending, pain is all I dwell,
and sadness is all that I have to give.

How sad these lines are. Really tug at the heart.

"no happy ending, pain is all I dwell,
and sadness is all that I have to give."
`This couplet is so sad, it relatively touched my heart.

You have, yet again, written a gorgeous sonnet, Bryan. In fact, its contents and theme (an unrequited love) endears me exceedingly. I further adored reading sonnets, and I believed you did it justice. :)

    An endearing work, nonetheless.

    Take care,
