Raining

by Lyssi Lori   Jul 9, 2007

It's raining, it's pouring,
Their parents screams are roaring.
The children run and hide in fear,
The youngest child sheds a cold tear.
The oldest child holds her siblings tight,
She closes her eyes and sings to drown out the fight.
"Rain, rain, go away,
Come again another day.
Promise us a better tomorrow,
Filled with love and no sorrow.
Let hope shine into our heart with the sun's glorious rays,
Please hear our prayer, and give us better days."
