Must Be Doin' Something Right

by aDORKable x3   Jul 9, 2007

The tone of your voice still rings true
With each sporadic "I love you."
You know I do, but I still need time,
I promised you one day, somehow, we'll be fine.

It took me awhile to understand my heart -
How it told me everything, right from the start.
How butterflies flittered and anticipation grew
With each passing minute I missed you.

You've told me so many times that you love me -
And yes, no matter what, I do believe.
You're so far away, it drives me insane!
But when I hear your voice, there's no more pain.

My tears are gone, blown away with the wind -
I stop worrying about the past that's been.
You're the one that matters, the one so close;
No matter what, you matter the most.

All our songs, each holding a special memory,
They bring back images to my head of you and me.
I smile with the laughs and I cry with the tears -
I'm moving on with you, shedding away my fears.

No matter what I do, you'll never leave me,
Trust me baby, and just believe me -
That in my life, you are my shining light.
So I guess I Must Be Doin' Something Right.
