Sorrow (A moment in Time)

by KeyxMashingxParody   Jul 9, 2007

Dazed and confused,
Lost in my own mind.
Heartless thoughts,
Beginning to intertwine.

I hear voices,
Yet all is dark.
Not even a blur,
Not a candle nor a spark.

I fall to the ground,
Feeling beaten to the bone.
Left in this darkness,
I am all alone.

No love is here,
No love for me.
Heartless is my soul,
Pain is where I sleep.

The agony fills this place,
Trembling with no protection.
A small burst of light fills the room,
And I and see a reflection.

This girl in the mirror,
Looks nothing like she should.
With scars covering her body,
She wreaks, "misunderstood."

Her hand touches the cold surface,
My hand follows hers.
She opens her mouth to speak,
Yet I never hear a word.

She fades into the darkness,
All is black again.
When will this sorrow be over,
When will my loneliness end?

That girl still haunts my heart,
My mind echos with her face.
The one moment I remember,
Was just being in that place.

"Sorrow is like a dark room, with silence and echoing fears. Demons stalk the darkness, and laugh with each of your tears."

(The quote at the bottom of the poem was before the poem itself. I just decided to write a poem to go with it.)

This was beautiful. Great details and I can relate. It's like... she sees someone unfamiliar she's changed so much. Great job.

This was a really beautiful dark poem, very sad but meaningful and relatable as well, the poem itself was very well written, and the flow was very smooth and strong.
