Dear Grandmother

by Kathleen Jenkins   Jul 9, 2007

One year ago
you passed away
we all miss you
by the way
we all loved you
even if it didn't show
you were the best grandmother
just thought you should know
its been hard without you
trying to cope
thats what I liked about you
you always had hope
we may have always fought
which makes me feel bad
just thinking about
the friendship we could've had
if only I could
tell you goodbye
id tell you I'm sorry
I ever made you cry
I love you so much
I just want you to know
you were my dearest friend
why did you go
so once again
I'm saying goodbye
ill see you in heaven
when its my turn to die
I love you dear grandmother
you'll never know how much
all I ask
is to feel your touch
to say goodbye
to you my friend
is this really
how it all ends

I loved it. I very recently lost my own Grandmother and wrote a poem on it, I like how much they differ. Reading your poem made me feel really sad and emotional, but it also made me feel good.
    Sweet. xx
