Mask

by RavishingEruption   Jul 9, 2007

Behind the words and funny smile
An unknown road for miles and miles

I wear a mask so no one will see
The person that is really me

I am who they say
A different person everyday

I hate living all the lies
The happy girl who never cries

But in truth the tears pour down
Sometimes so deep I think I'll drown

But it's covered by the mask I wear
I rip it off; my truths now bare

I think I like the life behind
The mask I wear to try and hide....

*I can really relate to this part. Always pretending to be okay so people won't see how badly I'm breaking inside. I liked this poem alot. It was very simple, but conveyed a very powerful message. Keep it up hun ^.^ Nik*
