Goodbye

by Jason Rainey   Jul 9, 2007

Oh no,
It has happened again,
Another grave has been filled,
Another soul has been claimed,
I watched them bury her,
All too soon she left,
Kind and gentile she was,
Ever so slightly stern,
Her heart was bigger than mine,
I never said goodbye,
I have a chance now,
Forever these words will last,
She wasn't my love or life,
Although I'd give my heart,
I see life as what it is now,
Short,
Full of promise,
Never a waste,
She has taught me that,
In her death I now see,
Thank you,
Goodbye.
