Garden of Fern

by Aesthyrian   Jul 10, 2007

A God in his own rite
Unknown even to himself what lies within
Forgotten past and memories released
Hidden from him were the thoughts of when

He was absorbed into the chaos entwined with the
lives of the inferiorities he suppressed
the smell of turpentine and ash
the smiles of the unhappy lovers undressed

Shadows of the changes of the seasons
Winters burning affection upon you
The dying tree within this Garden of Eden
Emerald eyes watching with sinew

The beautiful angel's coal black wings
The voice of Neko children ring
Held gently within this God's embrace
Smiling down to a tear-streaked face

Embracing the angels and creatures with haste
I will not let this world erase
Demons dripping in pleasure at waist
Free of mind and eyes are shut
You will see now that I have traced
The origins of humanity to my own gut

The lines are drawn
Territories will burn
War has broken out
In Eden's Garden of Fern

The dying tree within this Garden of Eden
    Emerald eyes watching with sinew"
