Missing You

The memories of me and you
still haunt me to this day
the love that we once shared
has slowly faded away

why did we close our eyes
to everything we used to know
why did we hold back,
and let each other go?

i thought that just maybe
you'd miss how we used to be
but i guess I'm in this battle alone,
without you here next to me

and i guess I'm not strong enough
to say I'm happy for you two
I'm sorry I'm still holding on
I'm sorry for missing you.
