It's time

by Tracy D Rollings   Jul 10, 2007

In the twisted years of my life
days slowly turn into night
for the fear I have in me
it becomes a very steady fright.

Demons are one thing hell is another
they can be just as devastating
as the mean hateful master himself
causing there to be more frustration.

Alcohol is food he feeds on
for it's my blood he desires
beating me within seconds of death
he awaits days in hells fires.

Anger is running through his mind
then he'll take it out on me
what I'd give to get way
somewhere that I could be free.

What makes a man so weak
that he does a child like this
tried to miss his final swing
caught my head with his fist.

Very hard explaining to a doctor
you fell and busted your head
twenty two stitches all sewed up
I'm lucky could have been dead.

They don't understand how I fell
x-rays show cracks in my skull
step mom adds it's my fault
man why is life so dam dull.

Pain I feel no one knows
and wouldn't care if they did
but you sold me to the devil
for the highest of the bids.

But now my pain is here
and you are gone far away
I forgave for all your stupidity
it's time for you to pay.©2007 Tracydr42

Excellently written piece. Flow is great and every stanza is very sad and dark.
My favorite stanzas are the second and the fourth.
    This piece is very touching.
    5/5 from me.
