Why is this happening?
all of this confusion
this place we knew
this feeling we felt
I can't even describe it anymore
your critisizem is more than I can take
and it's only there for those who take it
so please don't tell me what I can't be

always bringing me down with your lies
I never could withstand the life in your eyes
and the feeling we felt was a lie
except we thought we could live through it
what happened to our dreams?
now we only find ourselves avoiding one another
keeping our hearts tucked nicely in a box
away from pain, away from each other
man, this life has its disadvantages
and dreams will always fade

and love will always fall
(mostly because of our human flaws)
and those red roses you gave me as a symbol of love
they died and cried black tears
