Lost at Sea*

by Anthony   Jul 11, 2007

Come to Paris and let's go see, the grave of the Lizard King
This land has seen many terrible things,
But worst the death of the Lizard King.

Let's break on through the gates of hell
Dock our ships, let down the sail,
visit the wondrous hallowed ground.
When we return-maybe we will become-lost at see.
Yes we will become lost and never return.

So grab your girl, grab your man.
Make each other understand
you need this-like a drug

Close your eyes picture the hills, green grass growing freely.
The sky so blue the clouds white and beautiful.

Ride the snake, to the lake.
Set yourself free. Leave the world behind you
Come along with me. Discover the unseen.
Follow me. See the spirit.

All that is divided becomes one.
There is peace.
No war.

*Note: If you are familiar with Jim Morrison (1943-1971)
should realize that this is supposed to be about him. I tried to include some of his lyrics also.*

Wow, I love this piece from the beginning to the end. It has great wording and so vivid imagery. Every stanza is excellently written. Jim Morrison's work inspired some of mine poems, too.
I like the ending of the poem.
Well done, 5.5 from me, but you deserve more for this one.
    Keep writing
