The War, The Army

My future,
I wish to be one for my country
one where I will finally be a hero
I have always wanted to be a hero
ever since I heard about superman
and batman and those super heros
I have always wanted to like them
now as I grow older
I come close to beginning my dream
joining the army
and fighting for my country
fighting for the lives all those I love
fighting for our rights
but not all of it is about us
some fights are for others
to free other people
people who are being preyed upon
by their own country
they have no escape
and no way of protection
all this I want to be a part of
to protect them
and protect us
so one day
one day that is coming
quickly so very quickly
im beginning to get scared
I think of all the people who tell me to stay
all these people yet still I will leave
and I am sure it will be the most painful thing
ever for me to do in my life
