If Only...

If only you hadn't made me believe,
We wouldn't be here
Lost in all the confusion,
Drowning ourselves in tears.

If only I hadn't believed you
I wouldn't be falling apart
My heart wouldn't be in pieces,
I wouldn't need a new start.

If I would have kept my fragile heart to myself,
It wouldn't be lying on the floor
I wouldn't be here looking and hoping
To find so much more.

As I sit here, looking back
Thinking about what we had
I cant help but to wonder,
"Was it really all that bad?"

You were the one that I wanted to be with
But now my heart has changed
I'll just pick up the pieces to my torn and broken heart.
And then I'll be on my way,
Just know that Ive always loved you,
And thats never going to change.
