Babbling Brooke

by shyenne   Jul 11, 2007

I sat by a babbling brook one day,
and wondered inside my head just what it would convey,
if it's babbles could be real,
Now here is what it said," Years ago when I was born,
I was on a mountain top, but then as time passed by,
and my bed got worn a little deeper I got,
as I turned in time over rocks, and stone and dirt and roots and pebbles.
People like you will continue to sit and listen to me babble,
and in the distant future I'll be babbling still.
Perhaps at the bottom of the little bitty hill."
