Regret

by Sarlee   Jul 11, 2007

When you took that cigarette out of your mouth,
And placed it in mine.

With one inhale, my regrets flood back.
Every bitter laugh stuck in my lungs.

We lust for the pure truth,
But we only inhale lies.

My tongue and voice expose unwanted failure.
You can’t fit in my reflection darling, you’re too naive.
