Purple Haze

by Anthony   Jul 11, 2007

Behind closed doors nothing is the same,
and behind this one everyone is to blame.
No one sees the real people
all is blocked out to the real world.
Everyone sees through a purple haze

The truth is right behind us
but we never turn to see.
Photos in the back of our minds emerge to the surface,
forcing us to remember the battered wounds.
Blind to the influence in our lives forcing this haze upon us.

Wake up!
Wise up!

You can't see what your being forced threw.
Your parents, relatives, "Friends", whatever!
All push you faster and faster through the purple haze.
"No, not that way, turn left, no right, your so stupid."
They push you and push you until, CRASH!
You right into a wall, you didn't even see coming.

So run on your own, lead your own way.
Only you know the way to go in the purple haze.

I like this, yet not as strong as Of Love and War. the flow seems to break every once and awhile, though imagery is still very good. nice metaphor too.
