The Lone Swordsman

by Travis   Jul 11, 2007

The lone swordsman,
Sits on a hollow log,
In the forest near his hometown,
Or at least what's left of it.

The town was destroyed,
In a great fire the night before.
The swordsman tried so hard,
To save his town and family.

But his attempts failed,
And they all perished,
In that burning Hell,
Created mysteriously.

Why this town?
It was peaceful,
And in the middle of nowhere,
So why did it have to happen?

Those were the thoughts,
Of that swordsman,
As he sat on the log,
Shedding tears alone.

The cause of the fire,
Was unknown to him,
Yet the swordsman knew this:
It was his duty to find out.

If it was a living being,
It would be slaughtered.
If it was an accident,
Many tears would be shed.

The lone swordsman sat,
Thinking of where to start,
As he knew that this,
Was the start of another adventure...
