The Farewell

by Mihir   Jul 12, 2007

Lying all alone and undisturbed,
expecting a tearless farewell.
with all wishes felt curbed,
recollecting memories where we used to dwell.

Expecting me to let you depart,
unwillingly without weeping.
Seeing the start of your end,
out was your life seeping.

Colors of life seen fading,
with we standing separated.
The flame of the candle was diminishing,
leaving you with the soul departed.

There was noting left to hear or tell,
And finally,
Without a single tear you saw the farewell.
