Strange Encounter

by FountainsOfBlood   Jul 12, 2007

~I know, two of the bits don't work out, but I thought I'd try this new style of poetry and see if I liked it... Trust me it's hell to write!~

Running...Just running forever
However it goes without saying
Praying in the darkness I scream
"Dream, this is just a dream. This can't be real"

I run into a corner, no way to escape
Scrape against the ice cold wall
Fall onto the dirt covered ground
Found in my own drowning silence

Tears stream down my face
Erase my thoughts, erase my past
Fast because I don't think I can live
Survive, with this recurring fear and pain

I hear your footsteps, they come back
Attack me, I know that's what your going to do
Pursue it. I'm ready, waiting, dying
Trying with little hope to stay alive

I see a body haunting me in the night
Fright takes over, knowing what awaits
Fate's getting me one way or another
Other than that, I'm ready to die

He puts a helping hand out towards me
See, I froze, not knowing if I should accept
Wept in my sadness, "Who are you?"
Drew back his hand and stood motionless

Walking away, I began to relax
Acts as thought you weren't there
Stare at the stars, my tears fade
Stayed glued to the spot, threw away my blades

"I don't need them. I know what I need now.
Allow people to help me from this mess
Guess the blades aren't the answer
All from a meeting of a strange encounter."
