3 Minutes Left

by Elyse   Jul 12, 2007

My body is screaming

Im out of breath

Gotta stay focus

3 minutes left

My arms are throbbing

But still I work hard

Stealing the ball

From the unfocused gaurds

Running is painful

But still I sprint

I felt my bones shake

When I took that hit

Sweats in my eyes

But I gotta keep aim

Here at the line

I can win the game

My hands on my knees

The ref throws the ball

Square up take the shot....

And its a little off

I have one more chance

We can still tie

I take in a breath

And let out a sigh

Last try I thought

Or we'd be defeated

But that last chance

Was all I needed

A swish, perfect

I smile at the line

The buzzard sounds

Its over time

My body still screaming

And im still outta breath

But I gotta stay focus

3 minutes left....
