Nightly Prayer

Now I lay me
Down to sleep
With your heart the key
So deep

As I rest
I pray to Him
Give Him the best
Of all of them

So I know
That as I dream
You will throw
Me to His team

So I rest
In a peaceful slumber
I sleep the best
Like a piece of timber

As the sun now starts to rise
I thank you for protection deep
Help me with the daily lies
Until the next time I fall asleep
