Why did you have to go

This poem is dedicated to all of my grandparents and aunts and uncles i have lost in the past year.

i miss you i love you why did you have to go?
cancer took all 6 of you lives.
many different kinds of it.
it all happened one right after another
until all of you were gone.
some of you i hadn't seen in YEARS
but others i had saw just days before
but the worst thing of all
that you all had in common was that
i didn't get to say goodbye or i love you one last time.
i didn't see your faces be for you left the face of this
world forever.
i wasn't able to make it to any of your funerals
but LORD knows i WISH i could have.
