Not So Pretty To Be Corrupt, hmm?

by Ana(Angel)   Jul 12, 2007

Lets manage to slip the pounding whisper between moist lips

the very whisper of disgrace

how this little whisper

tumbles and frolics

in the wind, in the ears

of those who remain to not be deaf

true it be

that by our naivety

we were laughed and mocked

by our own individual government

we were gullible chess pieces in their slippery chess board

how easily manipulated we grew up to be

doesn't the fruit of justice

seem so utterly forbidden

and so far up

the tall cherry tree?

how amusing it was for them

how mortifying for us.

we grew up blinded

by propaganda's most obvious lies

the unquestionable side of authority

and the sickest unknown conspiracies

need it to be mentioned

the constant war

in which the beloved have fought so vigorously

all for nothing?

how much more must we bare

to see bloodshed in and out America

And how can we stand and observe

the acts of inhumanity

grow abundantly with hate and injustice?

we are deaf to the cries of the different

we are ignorant to whats outside our boundaries

we are blind to reason, peace, and morality

and as it spreads, our world decays

its morbid pause is made with shrieks of outrage

and screams of agony

must we tolerate the noxious smell

of our slick factories and oil business?

should we tolerate the fruitless ideas of an ignorant president

and his pleads for war

and excessive violence?

should we let him

let THEM

exploit us with oil, war and abuse of thousands of men and woman

who were paid to fight in a war

they didnt believe in?

the "Land of the free, Home of the brave"

is no longer free nor brave

it is but the land of no heed

and home of the slave

it is a lonely barren piece of earth

to be destroyed by human industry development

a victim of its own repulsive creation

a victim of its unmindful inhabitants

We can no longer watch

OUR world

OUR earth

perish in an fatal invisible fire

So will we linger on to sit here

and continue to take the bitter sips of shallow wine

or shall we proceed to the future of a perhaps true amity

in which we will remain sober?

If not for today

then perhaps for tomorrow......
