Everything's Just Wonderful [Lyrics]

by aDORKable x3   Jul 12, 2007

(Chorus)
Everything's just wonderful now.
Shna-na-nana-na-naa-na
Shna-na-nana-na-naa-na
Please just tell me everything is wonderful now
Shna-na-nana-na-naa-na

(Verse 1)
I picked up my guitar, with every intention to say:
How beautiful life is and my, what a lovely day!
But things keep getting moved and plans are changed;
Suddenly, life just becomes so rearranged.
Times are lost and they can't be saved,
Then schedules claim us all as slaves.
Why can't life be simple, like it used to be?
Is it because we life in the 21st Century?

(Chorus)

(Verse 2)
I wanna be able to catch a breathe of fresh air,
But when I breathe, there doesn't seem to be any there.
Life has to slow down, we're all moving too fast.
Pretty soon, nothing in life will last.
What happened to lazy afternoons, sipping iced tea?
Is it because we life in the 21st Century?

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
I finally catch a minute to strum a few strings,
As I sit and reflect about everything.
How so many things were once so pretty;
What happened to so many of the cities?

(Chorus)

(Verse 3)
As I pick the notes, a melody is made,
But with it, the harmony begins to fade.
With a little help, it seems to fall apart.
Then, of course, it's back to the start.
Why can't things just be wonderful like they used to be?
Is it because we life in the 21st Century?

(Chorus) 2x

Shna-na-nana-na-naa-na
repeat until fade.

I wanna be able to catch a breathe of fresh air,
But when I breathe, there doesn't seem to be any there.
[[I love, love, LOVE this line!!!]]

Life has to slow down, we're all moving too fast.
    [[You're missing a word here.]]

As I pick the notes, a melody is made,
But with it, the harmony begins to fade.
With a little help, it seems to fall apart.
Then, of course, it's back to the start.
    [[Again, I love this stanza.]]

    Now.
    Problem.
My favorite parts were within the stanzas, not the chorous. The chorous (correct me if I'm wrong) should be the most catchy part.
However, this was pretty well written and I didn't get bored (like I do with most lyrics), but remember: the chorous needs to be catchy, too.

I love this...I found it to be very thought provoking and moving at the same time.
Beautiful flow and wording, and such pretty imagery.
