Subcortical Dissection.

Subcortical Dissection.

We're packing gifts to head on down the road,
caring more than we should in this tiny little load.
A million miles in front of us, only a few behind.
Oh, oh just let that town leave my mind.
It was tearing at my heart, sweeping me away.
Taking me to a place I lived for a thousand days.
A place I couldn't stand, that tore me apart.
Oh, subcortical dissection and an unmended heart.

How horrible it was to live within that place,
to see the desperate look upon each face.
Underneath the rubble of the house that I burned down,
lies a broken man, who shall rot into the ground.
His feelings so toxic and his mind so discreet,
Please, oh please, let his death be all but neat.

I ask this with tears that stream down my face,
help me never to return to that place.
Leave it behind, never to return, never to return.
Oh, oh just let it burn, just let it burn.
That place I couldn't stand that tore me apart,
all left behind with subcortical dissection and an unmended heart.

Please, oh please, let his death be all but neat.
[[I really hated this line. =/.]]

Leave it behind, never to return, never to return.
Oh, oh just let it burn, just let it burn.
[[WOOOO! Now THIS is my kind of line! +1000 points for it! Lol.]]

Now, I liked it, though the flow seemed to drop once and nothing but that one line really caught my attention. It just seemed so...hm. I don't know the word. It didn't seem like it came from the heart, I guess you could say. Forgive me.
However, I'm giving you a five because it was pretty well written and there's no reason to downvote. Nice job.
