People say I should stop writing these
They say that nothing's true
But something real that I can feel
Is what I feel for you.

They say this is all crap
All of my poetry
But I can't stop my writing these
They explain who's really me.

Although I express myself to the whole world
They are blind to me
It's the real, true me
That they rarely see.

I won't let other peoples' limited vision
Destroy who I am
Because I know that I can do a lot of things
Without a dirty, cheating man.

I won't stop writing poems
This poetry is mine
I don't care if they don't care
They're just way too blind.
