Heaven (278)

by NinjaGirl   Jul 13, 2007

I see the dark beast of death
I know you have betrayed me
Everything is gone now
And every promise that you made me.

You have stomped on my love
And trampled up my garden
Every fault you made
Will help my heart to harden.

Through these long, desolate years
It was only love and truth I needed
But I'm lying on my grass
My garden dead, unweeded.

I'm leaving now, to heaven I go
I hope you remember me
I'll watch you from my heavenly seat
In the clouds, where we sing in harmony.

I'm dead and gone now
I'm joining a heavenly choir
My friends are all angels
And my god is my sire.
