Conversation With a Heart

by Paige   Jul 13, 2007

Do you wish me any pain? I asked
No ma'am, I do not.

Do you wish me any harm? I asked
No ma'am I do not.

Do you wish me any despair? I asked
No ma'am I do not.

Then why do you always hurt me?
Then why do I always feel you?
Then why do you trouble me so?
I asked.

"I am not the one troubling you.
I am not the one asking you to feel me.
I am not the one who hurts you so.

It is you who let people hurt me
So I hurt.

It is you that always feels me.
So I feel

It is you in which troubles yourself.
So I am troubled.

For I am your heart.

I do not wish you pain
I wish you only happiness.

I do not wish you harm
I wish you only good luck.

I do not wish you despair.
I only wish you only joy.

So now I question unto you:

Do you wish me any pain?

Do you wish me any harm?

Do you wish me any despair?"
