Fairy Tale Love

Once upon a time,
We were all so careless.
Boys thought girls were icky,
And girls would wish for a pony.
This little girl wanted something more,
Just to have true love..
Love like in the fairy tale books,
And for her own knight in shining armor.
In High School she was so picky,
Turned down every single date.
She refused to settle for just anyone,
She knew her day would soon come.
Finally a man came,
She could tell he wasn't the same.
Soon the two fell in love,
Her dream had finally come true.
Over the years sadly,
They grew so far apart.
He loved another,
And she just wanted him gone.
After he left,
She never gave up hope,
That one day her Prince Charming would come,
And she would finally have her fairy tale love.
