Drifting Apart

by June   Jul 13, 2007

You said today we're drifing apart ,
and I think that maybe you are right.
Niether of us are to blame ,
for years now things haven't been too bright.

We've had 12 years together ,
a mixture of good and bad.
Theres been tears and laughter ,
and times of happy and sad.

What with the kids and work ,
time together is so very rare.
When we do plan time together ,
something comes up ,its just unfair.

But then the time we do get together ,
we seem to have nothing much to say.
Its like we have nothing in common ,
and will start arguing by the end of the day.

To be honest I prefer it when your working ,
if you come home or not I don't care.
We never seem to have a laugh anymore ,
the same sense of humour we don't even share.

Yes you are right we are drifting apart ,
and yet this does not make me sad.
Maybe its time we went our seperate ways ,
call it a day before it does ALL turn bad.
