Alzheimers

by broken reflection   Jul 13, 2007

Past fades,
Mistakes made,
Lessons were learned,
Love that was yearned,
Time that has passed so fast,
All I want is my memory to last,
Say my goodbyes before I forget their names,
I don't want my kids to know that these few minutes are in vain...

*******************************
It isn't a fantastic poem, but I just wanted to make it...
Alzheimer's affect's many lives including a very close friend of mine, who takes the best care of her grandma that she can.

A friend of mine had a grandmother who had the same thing..so its almost chilling to see just how accurate your poem is to what actually happens..its a sad condition and you captured that in this poem, great work
