Truth and Lies

by Alyssa Friday   Jul 14, 2007

The truth,
in all honesty,
has always been polished to lies.
But hidden in truth was brazen passion,
words that willed their way into life.
Unobliged by the traditional distortion,
torrents of inspiration managed to fight.
There was no paint dark enough
to cover the many truths uncovered.
But now,
in times of evil,
corruption dominates the world.
And truth in innocence is sacrificed.
