Sing, Sing

by Alyssa Friday   Jul 14, 2007

Sing, sing oh morning breeze
and calm the solemn, envious night;
turn insult and pain to soothe and appease
and slow the ever blooming spite.

Sing, sing oh heavenly sky
and brush the effervescent tides;
turn beauty to air to flit and fly
and flood the soul with easy strides.

Sing, sing oh feeling earth
and bring to us your loyal sleep;
turn anger and fear to laughter and mirth
and free us with your daring leap.

Sing, sing oh glorious sun
and stretch your loving, warming touch;
turn dew to rain and noon to none
and cradle all in crooning clutch.
