Arrival of Spring

by Alyssa Friday   Jul 14, 2007

When Spring arrives to take the lead,
all silence befalls the rising sun,
a prelude to its rosy kiss
upon the dewy world.

The breezes then blow to cool the cheeks
of Dawn's graceful countenance,
the robin's song carries low and sweet
as nature's perfect anthem.

Wait yet for ripples in ocean tides
to lap upon the sandy shore
to greet its many feathered friends
of fragrant blooms and tender buds.
