A picture with a twist

by Beautifully Broken   Jul 14, 2007

Trapped in a cold forbidding room,
Chained, locked up from the inside
Never able to escape from this deathly nightmare.
It drags you in draining the life from your veins.

You have to place to run, no place to hide,
Nowhere to escape or put your thoughts beside.
Voices speaking inside your head, telling you,
take the easy way out, put an end to your pain

then something strong, something extremely powerful,
takes control of your worthless body
forcing you to do unimaginable things.
It takes control, forcing you to Draw..

..its a terrifying picture..

its a picture with a twist,
its drawn with a razor,
and printed onto your wrist.
Its said, if drawn correctly, a red fountain should appear
And all your problems will slowly fade and disappear..

I love that last stanza sounds like ur telling a stroy as old as time...the poem itself was wonderfully written, though very sad, great job

    You have forbodding talent.
Cliche topic, but your talent shows through..
I really hope you're alright, but consider this:
If you want to write, do it so it's not cliche and your poetry shall aspire so much more..
