Sad man

by Jack Ryan   Jul 14, 2007

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand,
Smiling, now, without a frown
Though deep inside He's broken down.

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand,
He lives his life with pain and grief,
But you'll never let you see his hardships.

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand
He who gave his hand for her to hold on,
Offered his shoulder for her to cry on,
He who gave his heart for to step on.

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand.
Tortured each day
By the pain that would not go away.
To be strong by her side,
When her own pain does not subside.

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand
He, who believed,
That he had a chance with this woman,
When the truth is,
That her heart belongs to another man.

Sad is the man
In front of you He stand,
I am that man.
