Im sorry daddy

by Neta   Jul 14, 2007

Unbelievable years spent together
until that one day when you put that drink into your lips
until you let that drink take over you
i remember running into your arms
letting you know i missed you
that im so glad you came from work
now that odor coming from you
tears just fall down
you meant everything to me
daddy im so sorry
you are still my everything
but now when i see you sipping on that liquor
it brings back memories
is been 5 years since you been sober
please put it down you were my hero
until the age of ten it was about hiding from you
finding a place at home knowing you wouldn't hurt me
sometimes when you fell asleep on the stairs i held on to mommy
you left for a year, you came back a changed man
dad i love you and i do need you
but with the road your choosing
it only forces me and your kids your wife to leave
daddy im sorry to have to tell you this
but either you stop or we leave
im sorry it had to get to this point

please comment and rate i'll return the favor
thank you!

  • Thats a sad poem...
My mother's a terrible alcoholic, and I always have to restrain her and stuff. It really sucks.

    Nice sharing, really. Inspiration, indeed.
