The Caravan

by Di   Jul 14, 2007

The desert and the dusky glow,
The lonely caravan, the jingle of the bells.
Its time to go home now, its time to go home,
And I rest in peace by the dune
On the warmth of the sand
Till the caravan of death, crawls down
In the silence of the night
And takes me to an endless ride.

The desert moon wakes me up
She shines so bright, she shines on me
And the myriad of stars sing to me
The song of life, the song of birth,
The song of sorrow, the song of joy,
The song of my love, the song of death.

As I see the morning sun,
The lonely caravan trails again.
And in the warmth of the sand
In the warmth of my soul,
I rest in peace by the dune.
Till the caravan of life crawls again,
In the brimming sunlight,
And takes me to an endless ride.
