Faceless

by The Last Soul   Jul 15, 2007

I wish you could see me for who I am
I wish you could stop judging me by the outside
Inside I'm so much more than that
Or maybe I'm much less
There's so much ugliness outside and in
I can't even tell where beauty begins
I wish I was faceless
I wish I was weightless
I wish I could slip through the shadows
And watch as no one notices me
Having no fear
I wish I wasn't here
I wish I was all spirit and soul
I wish I could let it go
Be nothing physical, only spiritual
I wish I was deep as the ocean and light as air
I wish I didn't care
About the reflection staring back at me
About the face that I don't want to see
I wish I could see me for who I am
I wish I could stop judging me by the outside
Inside I'm so much more than that
Or maybe I'm much less
There's so much ugliness outside and in
I can't even tell where beauty begins
I wish I was faceless
I wish I was weightless
I wish I could hide in the corners of the dark
And watch as people pass by me
Having no fear
I wish I wasn't here
I wish I could just close my eyes and disappear
