This Love (Will Bring You Home)

by Unrequited   Jul 15, 2007

Your tears will grace my lips
as hunger shadows cold
release your worries from this world
to cover up lost birth
and rain will follow suit
removing guilt from your soul
your heart is not alone.

do you remember when we were sad?
all lost thoughts we should never have
this silver ash will wash away
forgotten by His heart
forgiven with the wave of His hand
your skin warms with the afterglow
of this love
erase the snow;
we'll find a new way to go.

do you know the path to your future home?
the anger dies and love now grows
eyelids shimmer, teasing your taste
my lips wait for your embrace
my hunger shadows cold.
this new life, your only way to go
i paid my dues, i'll bring you home
in this heart, a love unknown
a fire's flame
sparks erase the snow.

is it wrong to wait this long?
is there sorrow within your song?
passion will light your way,
shadows will meet dismay
this winter quickly dies away
all i ask, is that you stay
in this love
my passion lights the way to go.
