Selfishly Burning an Innocent Girl

by Woe   Jul 15, 2007

Feelingless hearts in this cold, cruel world,
selfishly burning an innocent girl.

She loses all who she thinks are her friends.
Love is unreal. Everything ends.

Promises now, mean less than dirt.
She's lost all trust, refusing to be hurt.

And still come the tears, all night she cries.
Remembering the promises, the selfish lies.

Meaningless love notes, a waste of lead,
Could be used in her note to explain why she's dead.

She watches them laugh, She watches them smile,
She fills with jealousy, it's been a long while.

A helpless victim of their high school thrills,
She tries to stay numb but the pain kills.

Lost in the darkness, Her only friends are drugs,
used to replace desired kisses and hugs.

Nobody sees, No one will care,
when she's gone they'll forget she was there.
