Taking Jesus' Hand

Taking Jesus' Hand
Mary Rose2007©

I once got lost in the wood
Walking through this narrow path
Fear enshroud my mind
As I heard the thunder's wrath

I have never felt such void
And lonesomeness in my heart
Tears welled up in my eyes
Whilst I tread this thorny path

I felt such remorse in my veins
My sense of hopelessness display
If I had paid close attention
I would have never gone astray

I was so close to giving up
When Jesus appeared before me
He looked upon my weary eyes
"do not be afraid", said he

So I came to Jesus, worn & sad
And let him into my heart
Jesus told me to take his hand
He promised he would never depart

Together we walk hand in hand
Through the deep & gloomy woodland
Jesus my Savior showed me the way
He said he'd be there for me every day.

- A poem I wrote based on my past experience & for those people who have lost their way & don't know what to do to get back on the right path. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart & take his hand. Neva let go of his hand & you'll neva be lost again for the Lord keeps his promises!
