Black and White

by Viola   Jul 15, 2007

I'm wound up small and tight
I don't know what's going on
And I've forgotten what's wrong or right
All I can see now is black and white
And the colours have long disappeared
Behind the sun's glowing rays
Oh it settled far too early for me
And now all around is this cold darkness
These frightening shadows along the wall
That conquer my thoughts at night
The past of beauty is so long forgotten
Now only pain runs through my veins
Explicit, definite, and terrifying pain
It's captured all that I am
And now I can't survive its torturous chains
They have a sturdy hold on me
Here among these ashes is where I remain
In this pleasurable pain, this glorious sadness
That seeps in my veins
I have no where left to go
I'm all alone in this cold darkness
Stripped of all my innocence and purity
I'm wound up small and tight
And all I can see is black and white

Okay. i frikken loved this. the imagery you portrayed in this was beautifully done, it created very vivid pictures in my mind. flow was home throughout the whole piece, and i liked the repetition you used, it made for a powerful effect to the whole piece.
