Watery Death

by yvonne tattersall   Jul 15, 2007

How could you do this,
how could you lie,
how could you laugh,
when you saw me cry,
i thought that you loved me,
i thought that you cared,
you were just faking it,
it was all just a dare,
as i fled fom the room,
heart sobbing in pain,
i hardly noticed the wind and the rain,
i stand on the bridge,
arms raised in the air,
i call out for someone,
for someone who cares,
the river is raging,
no far below,
i close me eyes,
i prepare to go,
and let the water,
take me to my watery death
