Love For All Seasons

by Krazy   Jul 16, 2007

Winter rolls around
bringing swirls of chills
chances to curl up in front of fires

Warm temperatures steadily rising
Flowers showing their pedals to the sun
Love and desire blooming in all directions

Passion burns with mighty fervor
Water heating up with lust
Skin greedily soaking up the sun

Leaves beckoning the sunset colors
Drifting lazily to the ground
Setting the backdrop for photogenic lovers

Strong enough to climb any snowy mountain
Deep enough to pass all frigid rivers
Love is nothing to play with, for it will last through all seasons.

Wow. I think this is my favorite poem of all time I really loved how you somehow managed to write about love in each of the seasons but tie them together in a way that the reader has to look to realise that the seasons have changed. Very suttle. This was breathtaking I also loved how you showed which season it was without saying which one it was and also by turning the seasons themselves into a metaphore. This is a work of art.
