Fortunate

I'm fortunate to know,
This beautiful girl.
She's such a good friend,
I love her so.

I'll tell you a little about her;
She has these big, blue, sparkling eyes,
And when you are with her,
There's no need for disguise.

I'll tell you some more,
About this cute little girl,
She'll take every pain away from you,
Every mark, every soar.

She'll make you laugh,
And she'll play and tease,
But also she will listen
As much as you please.

But of course she has these days,
That her eyes don't sparkle,
she doesn't laugh and tease
And she won't be there,
As much as you please;

But then I'll be there for her,
Through thick and thin,
Our friendship is so close,
And it's just the beginning.
