Where Are The Answers?

by Kirsty palmer   Jul 16, 2007

What would the world say
If it really knew my dismay ?
What advice would it propose
As my feelings it would expose

As the pain and tears continue to fall
Bad memories of life I begin to recall
Anger is always stronger now
My plea soon becomes my avow

"Please Lord let me die"
I was left there without a reply
"I just want to get away"
But on Earth you made me stay

Why is the world so cruel
It's like fighting a duel
Where the sun is constantly in the dark
And no life is left to embark

Time takes its tow in slow motion
People drowning in the commotion
Shadows lurking in the sun light
As the world is left with no delight

People always letting each other down
Watching as a smile turns to a frown
Life is lead in dismay
So what to this would the world say?

Amazing the atmosphere was great. Every line was as touching as the other. Excellent job, thanks for the read. Keep it up.

I believe that as of now, I keep repeating myself due to the fact that I'm running out of words. But forget about that, I find this piece to be flawless and quite interesting. The emotions were expressed quite nicely and I really like it.

This poem is fantastic. Topic is great and the ending is very effective. You wrote this piece excellently. Fourth and fifth stanzas are my favorite ones.
    Well done!

Ok, well this is pretty good
    but at parts it seems
the rhyming was a little forced
and in some places if you were to switch the words aroud a little it might sound better

    4/5
