For A Moment

by ├Truely_Spoken┤   Jul 17, 2007

The second I closed my eyes, was the second I would dream and fly
Take myself to a world unknown; lead myself to my last goodbye

For a second I swam through a sea of brilliant light
Everything that was dim now seemed so clear
Answers to the questions I once had were now in sight
Water pure as diamond, my doubt suddenly disappeared

For an instant I could touch the sun's crimson flames
They gently caressed my fingers with their warm embrace
Through the heavens I could soar, through dead ends I found doors
With a wave of my finger I could control the wind with grace

For a moment I felt invincible
Nothing in the word was more complete
Like a king inside his kingdoms walls
I commanded silence when I was on my feet

For a night I was able to embark on a sweet escape
To where the stars line up, and the clouds hold hands
To where I finally felt I could alter the weaves of fate

The second I closed my eyes, was the second I would dream to find
A world where no worldly limits could stop me from touching the sky
