Fairytale

If life was a fairy tale,
would we still be able to breathe,
and if life was a fairy tale,
would i still have to watch you leave,
Ive been waiting for so long,
for the day you'd be my own,
so many of those endless nights,
just staring at the phone,
What if it turns and we wreck what we had,
something so wonderful withers and its bad,
I don't want this feeling to ever go away,
please just tell me you'll always stay,
What if in a while all that's left to see,
is a broken down memory of what used to be,
and when the music stops and the night begins to fade,
you take me to a different place and hold me in the shade,
If i close my eyes and dream of you, you'd always stay,
but if i did that, i'd dream my life away
